Bram Goldstein, Ph.D.
Bram Goldstein, PhD, is a Senior Clinical Fellow and President of the Women’s Cancer Research Foundation.
He specializes in the diagnosis and clinical treatment of gynecologic (ovarian, uterine, cervix) and breast cancers. Dr. Goldstein also focuses on rare and complicated diseases that often confound standard treatment.
He initially trained in neuropsychology at the University of Pennsylvania, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and UCLA. Since then, Dr. Goldstein has been involved in numerous clinical oncology trials and published over 125 medical research articles in peer-reviewed journals, many of which involve novel therapies and surgical approaches in the management of cancer.
Michelle Aylward is the Executive Director for the Women's Cancer Research Foundation, and is in charge of donor relations, development and community outreach WCRF. She also served as the administrator for GOA Partners, LLC for nearly 20 years, wherein she was responsible for administration, payroll, health services, information technology, employee management, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
Michelle has significant clinical research experience, in accordance with her tenure at the Chao Comprehensive Cancer Center and UCI Medical Center. Michelle studied pre-nursing at El Camino College.
In her spare time Michelle enjoys artistic crafts, gardening , reading ,walking to stay in shape. Michelle loves animals and is actively engaged in volunteering her time working with pilots helping free animals from high kill shelters with an organization “Pilots N Paws “.
John Link, M.D.
John Link, MD is the medical director of oncology with Breastlink, and one of the foremost experts in treating breast cancer. Additionally, Dr. Link founded the Breast Cancer Care and Research Fund, a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and promote clinical research, access to quality care and advocacy for women with breast cancer.
He has published extensively on innovative treatments for breast cancers and is a frequent lecturer on novel developments in patient care. Dr. Link's book, The Breast Cancer Survival Manual, is widely read and referenced by women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Dr. Link graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature (cum laude) from the University of Southern California (USC) and attended the USC School of Medicine. Dr. Link completed his internship and residency at USC, and thereafter, concluded an additional residency at Memorial Medical Center of Long Beach and a fellowship in medical oncology at USC.
Monica King joined the Women's Cancer Research Foundation in March 2018 and has served as the clinical research director since May 2020.
Monica has 17 years of experience conducting clinical research trials and has an extensive background in oncology, pulmonary conditions, immune system disorders and renal complications. Monica is deeply committed to identifying relevant clinical trials, initiating studies, supervising them, and of course, overseeing patients and ensuring proper compliance throughout the duration of the Women's Cancer Research Foundation's clinical trials.
Jaclyn King joined the Women's Cancer Research Foundation as the senior research coordinator in February 2019.
Her primary responsibilities include patient accrual and eligibility review, overseeing patients during the clinical trial process, managing and organizing patient clinical data, and preparing the results for study evaluation. Jaclyn's previous clinical research experience includes oncology, renal complications, pulmonary conditions, and immune system disorders.
Sanam Jafari joined Women's Cancer Research Foundation as a Research Nurse in 2020.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude with her BSN from West Coast University Sanam began working as a research coordinator for a research facility in Long Beach CA. Through diligent work and determination she became a Research Nurse with the facility until its closure. With her experience Sanam immediately secured a position with MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center as a Floor Nurse Administrator. and also taught "patient care assistant" classes for the Medical Center which lead to a promotion to Unit Manager.
